Problem
American Optical had a previously designed website that was outdated and failed to accurately convey the high cache of the brand as well as allow it to properly compete in the luxury optical market space. As a result, the company required an entirely new website built from scratch, using the most sophisticated design elements available.
Solution
After a thorough website audit and full discovery phase, we began our design process, implementing robust UX (user experience features) and most importantly, highly detailed custom functionality features to allow customers to fully customize their orders. As a part of this project, we developed a sophisticated integration system so AO could seamlessly manage its orders, shipping, inventory and order-customizations with its back office. The result is a clean, modern website with a myriad dynamic features like virtual try-on mode, product specifications via a special hover-over feature, and even a virtual filter to test the brand’s advanced polarized lenses.
